Abstract Cadmium (Cd) is known as a pollutant source in recent years with the increase industrialization. Algae have secondary metabolites high biological activity, used for pharmaceutical agents. The liver and kidney are primary organs involved elimination of systemic cadmium main targets toxicity. In previous research, it was determined ameliorative effects extract obtained from Ulva rigida tissue rats induced by cadmium. 35 female Wistar between 225-240 g were used. subjects injected subcutaneously 1 mg/kg chloride (CdCl 2 ) four times week weeks. study carried out groups control (G1), group (1 CdCl -G2), (100 mg/kg-G3), Cd+algae +50 algae extract-G4) +100 -G5). sacrificed cervical dislocation. Liver cardiac blood collected. It that oxidative stress iNOS, inflammation apoptosis TNF-α increased induction, while there statistically significant decrease given extract. addition, biochemical changes SOD, CAT MDA values found to be (p&lt;0.05). As result, could play protective role its antioxidant antiapoptotic properties experimentally toxicity rats.
